Press Release
Four years after she first picked up a paint brush in earnest, the talented
young painter held her third one-woman show in the eclectic Del Bello Gallery in Toronto's fashionable downtown area. Among the 20 canvases on display, 11 were promptly sold; the first within ten minutes
after the show opened. Sarit is an extraordinary breath of fresh air.
Her presence and everything around her has an inherent magical quality. When she walked into select Toronto art
galleries with one of her favorite paintings, "Reclining Woman", every one of them responded with an offer to exhibit her work.
She selected Del Bello Gallery, then situated in the hub of
Toronto activity. After the exhibit, she permitted her work to be on display at two other Toronto galleries, one of which ended shipping several of the works to a SOHO gallery, The Perry Art Gallery for exhibit there. As the gallery owner and distributor were looking over the
paintings while they were being uncarted, a customer came into the gallery and bought one of them on the spot. The gallery took more of her works and they are now all in private collections. |
